Privacy notice

Last updated: 25 July 2026

Who is responsible for the site?

Monu-Mentality is operated by Felix Spencer.

Questions about privacy can be sent to: ownermonumentality@gmail.com .

What information is collected?

When a monument game is played, we record limited gameplay information, including:

The gameplay database does not store the text entered as guesses, names, email addresses, account information or a permanent player identifier.

Website and database providers may also process technical connection information, such as an IP address, browser information, request metadata and timestamps, for delivery, security, diagnostics and abuse prevention.

Why is the information used?

We use gameplay statistics to understand how frequently the game is played, measure the difficulty of different monuments, identify technical problems and improve the game.

Lawful basis

We rely on legitimate interests as the lawful basis for this processing. Our legitimate interests are operating, measuring, securing and improving Monu-Mentality.

We limit the information collected and do not use it to build advertising profiles or identify individual players.

Who receives the information?

We use the following service providers:

These providers may use their own infrastructure and subprocessors to provide and secure their services.

International processing

Some service providers or their subprocessors may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, the providers use contractual or other legal safeguards for those transfers.

How long is information kept?

Individual gameplay event records are retained for up to 12 months and are then deleted or converted into aggregate statistics.

Aggregate statistics that no longer relate to an identifiable visit may be retained for longer. Technical logs maintained by service providers are retained in accordance with their applicable service settings and policies.

Cookies and device storage

Monu-Mentality does not currently use advertising cookies or store a persistent identifier on your device for gameplay analytics.

If this changes, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights relating to your personal information, including the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Because the game does not assign a permanent user identifier, we may be unable to identify which individual gameplay event relates to a particular visitor.

Privacy requests can be sent to: ownermonumentality@gmail.com .

You may raise a concern with us using the contact details above. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
